What happens when you order a Report from Ulster Ancestry
Preparation
Data supplied by the client.
We ask the client to give as much accurate information as possible with relevance to the family being researched, prior to their leaving Ireland.
This information is analysed, so that the genealogist assigned to you can determine what areas of research have already been covered and what the clients objectives are in the research project.
The Search
A Standard Search gives the client 8 hours exclusive researcher time
An
Extended Search
gives the client 12 hours exclusive researcher time.
All our research takes place within the archives of the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland and the General Registers Office of Northern Ireland.
At P.R.O.N.I we have at our disposal all 36 miles of records relating to the Ulster counties, covering a period of some 400 years ,and at the G.R.O. all vital records are kept relating to birth ,marriage and death in Northern Ireland.
The majority of time allocated to a research project is spent on actual hands on research. In this your genealogist will identify and obtain for examination all relevant records and documentation in relation to the search. These will be carefully searched for evidence of the clients family. Please remember that the survival of records determines how far back a family line and pedigree can be traced.
