Hi All,
Can someone out there please help with this, Where would I find military records of Thomas Connolly, he was born in Ireland 1835/6c ...his Death Cert states he was born in Market Hill, Armagh.
I know he was stationed in India from the 1850's to his migration to Australia 1872/3 on the Pera from Bombay.
He married Matilda Payne in 1861 in India.

For British army service records you should visit the National Archives site
what was known as PRO Kew
Military records have Ref WO {War Office}
but you will need someone to access them for you by personal visit.. Only the catalogue is on line, the actual records are not.
